long time no see [Wednesday, December 28th, 2005 @ 6:18pm] [ mood | nauseated ] I haven't updated in awhile... Everything is still goin great. I got a new laptop, finally! It's really nice. Alan got a laptop for Christmas too. Christmas was great. Alan got me a very very gorgeous diamond necklace. It's one with three diamonds, called the triple threat I guess. I got a whole bunch of Scene It's for Christmas too, the regular, music, and Harry Potter. Along with much much more. Friday it'll be a year since mine and Alan's first date. We celebrated it yesterday by doing the same thing, except we missed the movie due to a long wait at Applebee's. Tomorrow Leslie, Alan, and I are cooking candies at Gramma Desi's. We're making buckeyes and chocolate fudge. Angie (Fordyce) is having a recipe exchange get together, so I have to make some for it. It'll be nice to see some of my MCS pals. I miss them. I have no clue what I'm doing for New Year's yet. Looking back at this year, a lot of things were very unexpected. I never thought I'd fall in love anytime soon. Crazy how things happen. How one moment changes your life forever... but I must say... It's definately been a great year. 1 Comment

study study study [Saturday, October 29th, 2005 @ 10:45pm] [ mood | drained ] [ music | Stargate SG-1 ] All I've been doing this weekend is studying. I had an exam Friday and have 3 exams next Tuesday, along with a 10 page paper due. My paper's on Catherine the Great's personality and sex life. It's pretty interesting, so that helps. I'm taking a break for the rest of the night I think. Tomorrow I have to work, I'm going to The Game (Chi's 101 hour softball game), and studying with Marco and Meredith. [Monday, October 24th, 2005 @ 10:09am] [ mood | sleepy ] I'm in the computer lab getting ready to type out a study guide. I thought I'd do a quick update on here. Fall break was good. It was really good to go home and see everyone. I took Seth and my dad to see Serenity, Seth really liked it and dad just thought it was average. Average to him means it's good. That was the third time I've seen the movie. I went out to eat with Alan and his step-dad one night. Alan decided to try too much of the very hot sauce and got sick. Everything is going great... bills bills bills [Monday, October 10th, 2005 @ 10:09am] [ mood | loved ] I had an awesome weekend! :) This past week has been really good for some reason. Probably because I found out how great I did on my exams and I've had some fun times with friends. I got a 99 on my Modern Europe exam, I about peed my pants. My Foundations professor even commented on it, saying Dr. Barnett talked to him about how well I was doing. All I can say is it's gotta be God, because I have no clue how I have the strength to do everything that's on my plate right now. Between working 25 hours a week, volunteering approx. 10 hours a week, tutoring, a 17 hour class load, and still keeping my social life I have no clue how I do it. God really has given me the strength. This weekend I stayed the night with MJ in the Livingston dorms. It was really good just to talk and get to know each other better. We watched The President's Daughter, Marc Blucas, mmhmm. Then a bunch of the volunteers from our school, OMS, came over the next day. We were going to watch a movie, but we ended up just talking about weddings and all that girly stuff. I worked Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday morning. After work Sunday I went home got ready, and Alan picked me up for our date. :) We went to Shogun (my fav. food place!), we were going to go see a movie, but Serenity is the only good movie out at the moment. So we just came back and watched Cellular with Amanda. It was alright, Kim Basinger got on my nerves though. Things between Alan and I have been really great lately... :) 2 Comment

[Thursday, October 6th, 2005 @ 9:09am] A Middletown teacher was arrested Tuesday after he tried to meet a teenage girl for sex, police said.John Gannon, 23, is a Spanish and art teacher and Bible teacher at Middletown Christian High School. Investigators say Gannon used a computer in his classroom after school on Tuesday to chat with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl.That "girl" was actually a detective with the police department in Fairborn, a suburb of Dayton. Police say Gannon set up a date within an hour and a half of logging on. He then made the 40 mile drive to a meeting spot at 1000 East Dayton Yellow Springs Road, police said. Police were waiting. "When Mr. Gannon met up with detectives he said he was there to get a drink. Then, he later admitted he was in town to meet a 14 year old female," said Sergeant Paul Hicks of Fairborn Police. Gannon, who lives in Franklin, was arrested without incident. He's charged with importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, both fifth degree felonies. Gannon has since posted a $7,500 bond and is awaiting his arraignment. School leaders won't comment on camera about the allegations. All they will say is the situation is under investigation and parents of students at the school were notified. Investigators say it's frightening that Gannon was out trying to meet a teen who's the same age as the students he's with every day in the classroom. --- that's what happens when all you worry about is hiring baptist teachers... sometimes i hate my old school. Serenity, Serenity, Serenity [Monday, October 3rd, 2005 @ 9:33am] So the Lock-In was awesome, of course. It went really well, very organized. The girls were so sweet, and it was nice to have them come up and just want to talk. The best part was the dance-off it was sooo funny. And I got to bust some moves... hahahahahhahaha. I saw Serenity Saturday. I'm going again today with Amanda. It totally exceeded my expectations, I have never had that happen. Everytime you have high expectations for a movie, it sucks. The critics are even giving good reviews on the movie. It is seriously the best movie I have ever seen. Amazing, words cannot describe. Everyone must go see it! Comment

9 months [Friday, September 30th, 2005 @ 5:14pm] [ mood | excited ] Quick update once again... if my life ever slowed down it'd be nice. Tonight is the Sparkle! Lock-In. I'm excited. I've been here at the office since 4 though answering a billion calls from parents/students. I'm addicted to facebook. I'm willing to be late for work tomorrow in order to see Serenity. I'm upset I didn't get to see it today, the opening day. But I'll live. I hope it does really well, I want there to be another and then another and then another... haha. We can stop there because I want Joss to finish Buffy/Angel!!!! He probably never will though... so I'll just sit here and cry. Bones, the new show with David Boreanez, is really good. It's about forensic anthropology, fun stuff. I was disappointed with last night's Smallville and wanted to punch Clark for not going back before sundown. Idiot. hehe. I love my shows. I love DVR, I can watch my shows on my own time, otherwise I would never be able to watch them. I'm hooked on House, Bones, old Angel eps, Family Guy, Supernatural, Gilmore Girls, Real World, Laguna Beach, and I'm going to start taping Related next week... that's a lot more than I thought. Dang. At least I can fast forward through them to make them a whole lot shorter. I got an e-mail saying that Dr. Dirksen recommended for me to tutor in my Cultural Anthropology class. I was excited, he thinks I'm smart. Welp.. that was a little longer than expected... the phone has stopped ringing momentarily. whew. 9 months since our first date! Woo hoo! Comment

BBBRRRRRRRRRR!!! [Tuesday, September 27th, 2005 @ 10:16am] [ mood | cold ] Why in the world do they make it sooooo cold in the computer lab?!? Neways... Here's my past few days... Thursday I got sick before first class, but I had a paper due in that class that I hadn't typed neways so I took the time to type it and turned it in after it was over. In my second class, foundations, we reviewed and went over the Greeks. Then I met up with Alan, who happened to be really sick. I then left for my Modern Europe class, then Sparkle, then bought Alan medicine, then took an exam in my computer class. Before my computer class Alan's mom called, wanting me to take Alan to a doctor. So when I got out of my computer class I went straight to his apartment to give him his medicine, but he had a really bad fever and looked awful so I took him to the ER. He was soooo pitiful, it was awful. He was dehydrated so they hooked him up to IV's to give him some fluids. Amy Beth and Mary Kathryn showed up first for moral support and Amy Beth sang to Alan. :) Not long after they left Rebekah and Kelly stopped by. Then after the Starlite meeting Amy Beth, Rebekah, and Kelly came by again, along with MJ and Jill. It was really nice to have so much support, I really hate hospitals and I wanted to throw up the whole time, on top of being soooo upset and worried about Alan. I hated him being so sick. Friday he was getting better so I left for Ohio... About an hour after I left he started getting really sick so I called Amy Beth to check on him. She ended up taking care of him the whole weekend for me. I am so blessed to have such great friends. I felt awful for not being the one to take care of him though, but home was really great. It was nice to see all my friends again, and since Alan didn't get to go we are going to go home on Fall Break. I could say more... but it's time to go! Comment

Serenity [Thursday, September 22nd, 2005 @ 2:48pm] [ mood | crazy ] So next weekend Serenity comes out! HECK YA! Sept. 30th. Our Sparkle lock-in is on the same night!!! So I have to wait til Saturday to see it. A little disappointed, but man I am pumped. The lock-in will be a lot of fun, I can't wait for that either. Today I have one exam, next Tuesday I have 2, next Thursday I have one, then the Tuesday after that I have one, and the day after I have another, and the day after that I have two papers due. Talk about a busy schedule the next two weeks. I'M COMING HOME TOMORROW!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! Comment

Quick update [Tuesday, September 13th, 2005 @ 2:40pm] [ mood | jubilant ] [ music | Phantom Planet ] So I thought I'd do a quick update while checking my e-mail in the computer lab. Friday: Sociology exam Finished the SOMS database at the Starlite office Worked from 5-CL Saturday: Slept in FINALLY! Played Mario Party til work which was 4-CL Sunday: Chiefs vs. Jets... went to Sharkey's, but they had messed up on ordering the NFL ticket. So I flew to Chattanooga to BW3's. Made it five minutes before the game started. This was the first time I'd been there since I was a Junior in high school, it was soooo yummy. Chiefs won 27-7. Alan was happy, and I was happy b/c it meant a lot to him. ***Alan gave me clothes me for this occasion. I had to wear one of his HUGE jersey's and a ball cap, so we matched. hehe. I have pictures that I will post eventually. We're cute. Came home and studied. Marco, Meredith, Brian, and Josh came over. Brian brought his videos of the England/Scotland trip. They were hilarious. I love my lovely sound effects while going up the mountain to Cat Bells. I wanted to cry being able to see Keswick again... Can I go back now? Monday: Sociology... I swear he just reads out of the book, c'mon we're not in high school anymore! Worked at the Starlite office. Went home and watched my shows that were taped on the DVR, and ate lunch. Got my hairs cut and highlighted. It's cute and short again. Alan likes it. :) Took a nap. Went to work from 5-CL. Worked on my Gilgamesh for Foundations of Western Culture paper til 1 in the morning. Today: I got the paper about the Hopi Indians back in my Cultural Anthropology class. I got an 'Exceptional' which means 22 out of 20... I rock. I got the quiz grade back in my Foundations class, I missed three true/false... I hate true/false, they are too tricky. I still had an A though, so it's all good. Alan and I ate lunch at Chick-fil-A. I love spending time with my baby btw. He's so sweet and so cute. I love the way he hugs me and kisses me on the forehead. Dr. Barnett talked about the Lake District's influence on the Romantic movement. Can I please go back now? Now here I am! I'm going to go home now, watch tv, and possibly take a nap. Then I have my Russian history class from 6-9. woot woot. The thingy where I charge my laptop is currently not working, so I won't be updating very often. Not like I was neways. Hopefully my dad will be able to fix it when I come home next weekend though. Speaking of home, I'm coming home for our church's 2 year anniversary! Yay! I can't wait to see everyone! Amanda, Alan, and hopefully Meredith will all be coming also. I think we're going to go to the Renaissance festival that Saturday too... :) 2 Comment
